Grief and loss counseling in Tallahassee

A weekly 50-minute session to talk about the person or the life you lost, at your pace, with someone who will not rush you toward being fine.

Losses people bring here

An open wooden keepsake box holds a knitted scarf tied with a ribbon, a dried flower and smooth stones.
  • The death of a parent, partner, child, friend or pet
  • A divorce or a long relationship that ended
  • A miscarriage or a pregnancy that did not happen
  • A move, a retirement or a career that ended before you were ready

What we do in sessions

Late afternoon light across an empty armchair with a knit blanket

Mostly we talk. Grief does not follow stages in order, and I will not ask you to fit one. Some clients bring photos or letters. Some want help with the practical weeks after a death, such as going back to work.

Questions about grief and loss counseling

Is it too soon, or too late, to start?

Neither. Some people call the week after a death. Others call years later, when something brings it back. Both are reasons to call.
